What We Believe

At the Scottsville Church, we believe it is our privilege to reflect Christ's character and create an atmosphere where your relationship with Christ can flourish - a place where barriers and distractions disappear especially during Sunday morning Worship Celebrations. At the Scottsville Church of Christ, meaningful, intimate worship has been and will continue to be a priority. Although worship is about what we offer our worthy God vs. what we can "get" from our Father, we know from the moment you walk through the doors of the Scottsville Church, you'll be welcomed, meet new friends and worship Christ through a blended worship style, meaningful messages, and friendly people.

Plan of Salvation:
Hear: " So faith comes from hearing, that is, hearing the Good News about Christ." - Romans 10:17

Believe: "For this is how God loved the world: He gave[a] his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life." - John 3:16

Repent: "God overlooked people’s ignorance about these things in earlier times, but now he commands everyone everywhere to repent of their sins and turn to him." - Acts 17:30

Confess: "If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved." - Romans 10:9-10

Be Baptized: "Peter replied, “Each of you must repent of your sins and turn to God, and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. Then you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit." - Acts 2:38

Be Faithful: "Don’t be afraid of what you are about to suffer. The devil will throw some of you into prison to test you. You will suffer for ten days. But if you remain faithful even when facing death, I will give you the crown of life." - Revelations 2:10
